My friend's parents have the authority to choose his major in the university. He seeks advice and try to convince them to study science which inovlves chemistry or physical. I also talked with his parents about that but they want him to study foreign language. It is a difficult to my friend to study something is not good for him. He wants to be a great teacher.

Your friend's parents sound like they want him to become very international. Perhaps he'll be able to use his foreign language to study chemistry or physics.
